Bad Boys

We’re only just getting into the HBO series Boardwalk Empire and for the first time it is the boys’ outfits rather than the gals’ that are tickling our fancy!
Check out some of our favourite 1920’s stylin’ on these bad boys. Yum. It’s some sweet work from designer John Dunn & tailor, Martin Greenfield.

& most importantly… there were new me & oli pieces! more details to come in the lead up to christmas!

thank you to the lovely team: andy, belle & bel. couldn’t have done it without you guys!

we will be posting you their details too in the coming weeks.

oceans a part.

whilst going through our acres of old work recently (some good & some not so!), we came across some wonderful photos from a photoshoot we styled a few years back. ’twas a 1950’s george caddy-esque theme. we will have to upload the photos some time with more details. but for now, we couldn’t help but post this one up. isn’t gordon’s bay a slice of wonderful? actually, we’re more taken by the beautiful bathing caps we stumbled upon!

puns & fables

me & oli are very excited to present our latest collection: puns&fables where, through lovingly drawn illustrations, we continue to create adventures upon a cloth.

as always, me & oli strive to bring together our love of textures, beauty, comfort, tenderness, the sense of excitement that the unknown brings and that flutter in the chest.

in puns&fables animals and beards are anthropomorphised to create an intoxicating world on delicious fabrics. a kind of modern day fairy tale through 3 prints:
‘the birds & the beards’: (a play on the idiomatic expression ‘the birds & the bees’) where birds lovingly roam and nestle in free flowing beards
‘a bird in the hand’: where the fox is voraciously happy, thank you, with the bird he has under his paws (he knows it’s worth more than the two in the bush!)
‘six pack’: where a pack of six wolves howl a chorus to the moon. intoxicated, no doubt!!!

these tales are told across a range of dresses, all with their own quirk in detail and all with an emphasis on beauty & comfort in wear.

puns&fables alludes to a tale, a message, a play on words, a simplicity…all with a bit of yearning & a good dose of tongue-in-cheek!

so step on in & join us on this adventure!

much ♥ to…
