oot and aboot
art and about is on again in sydney so it was a good excuse to leave our postcode for a jaunt into town. here are a few pics. funnily enough, our favourite things we saw were not part of the exhibition: new buildings sprouting up throughout the city & a run down toy factory.
(the last picture is of ‘deconstructing ways’ which stood like a big pop up book in a laneway)

Fashion as Art Exhibition: BSG
if you’re in & around melbourne tomorrow night (friday, september 9), don’t miss the opening of the ‘Fashion as Art’ exhibition at Brunswick Street Gallery, where some of our works will be displaying alongside the wonderful works of other artists.
exhibiting will be 6 me & oli limited edition canvas prints straight from our beloved Puns & Fables photo archive…yay!
the exhibition runs for 2 weeks only: friday, september 8- thursday, september 22.

au revoir
last day of autumn in the southern hemisphere. let’s bid it farewell with a big splash of autumnal colour!
(photos are of displays of beautiful leather bound journals in a shop in udaiphur…we did splash out ourselves on a colourful range of must-have journals!)

marvellous magnolia
with a month of winter still to go in the southern hemisphere, a cheeky mild & spring-like few days popped up last week…& with it erupted clusters of misled magnolias. & oh, how we marvelled.

mudgee
we love a good road trip & country NSW always offers the perfect setting to do this in.
this weekend found us, through mountains & farmlands, in the delightful mudgee. where the locals are so friendly you wonder if you’re rude for not smiling at every passerby. where delicious wine, locally sourced produce & organic goodness are aplenty…& where there’s so much love & care poured into each dish that is created that you end up grazing & drinking your way through the entire day. our favourite spot was this historic butcher-shop-turned- café. stunner.

wall monkey
our brain is a little fried. it comes from eyes being locked to the computer screen overtime as we try as hard as we might to finish our online shop….so we can finally share with you what we’ve been concocting for months (so exciting!!!!)
so, as a result of fried brain, we can’t think of anything to say to explain why we are posting a picture of a monkey peeling a banana (from our aforementioned gallivanting-about-india memory bank). except maybe to say…
we’re delirious
but textured walls are cool.
& concentrating monkeys are not so bad either.
back to work then.

oceans a part.
whilst going through our acres of old work recently (some good & some not so!), we came across some wonderful photos from a photoshoot we styled a few years back. ’twas a 1950′s george caddy-esque theme. we will have to upload the photos some time with more details. but for now, we couldn’t help but post this one up. isn’t gordon’s bay a slice of wonderful? actually, we’re more taken by the beautiful bathing caps we stumbled upon!
